Tier One8 weeksSmall groupLive classes

An 8-week sprint built around your target band.

Exam prep · target Band 6.5 or 7.0+

IELTS is graded by humans on four criteria per skill. You don't need more textbooks. You need a small group, a modern dashboard, and scored feedback on every piece of writing and speaking you produce.

    Live Classes · 3 sessions / week · ~75 min each

3 live group classes with Lora Teacher

Three small-group live classes every week with Lora Teacher, each running about 75 minutes. She walks through the week's IELTS scoring criterion, reviews writing and speaking from the group, and answers questions in real time. Miss one? Sessions are recorded and posted to your dashboard.

  2. 02

Mon to Fri · Daily assignments

    Daily assignments, graded for you

Open the dashboard and your next assignment is already queued, calibrated to the IELTS rubric. Submit and the score and feedback land in the same place. No scattered PDFs, no email threads.

  3. 03

    Weekend · ~2h 45m (full IELTS timing)

    Full mock test

Every weekend is a full IELTS mock under real timing. Weeks 1 and 5 to 8 are scored on fresh papers. Weeks 2 to 4 are unscored retakes of Week 1 so you can measure movement against your baseline.

The 8-week plan, class by class.

Three live classes a week, each with a clear job: Reading and Listening question types, Writing frames with live correction, and Speaking. The four phases move you from learning the exam format, to mastering every Task 1 and Task 2 type, to performing under real timing, to the final Band 7 polish. A full mock every weekend marks the progress.

Week 01

Diagnosis and the core frames

ThemesDemographics & population · Urban farming & environment · Technology & society · Education & university life
S1
Reading + Listening

True/False/Not Given and strict-word-limit sentence completion; the four listening parts (form, map, conversation, lecture), predicting each blank before the audio.

S2

The 4-paragraph Task 1 chart frame (the overview sentence that decides Band 5.5 vs 7) and the Task 2 opinion essay with your position stated in paragraph 1.

S3
Speaking

Part 1 extended answers, the Part 2 cue card (hook, body, reflection), and the /f/-/p/, /θ/-/s/, /v/-/b/ sounds.

Weekend mock Sunday: full baseline mock, scored to set your starting band.

Week 02

Task 2 discussion and argument language

ThemesTechnology & the internet · Health & wellbeing · Environment & energy · Society, culture & language
S1
Reading + Listening

True/False/Not Given and multiple choice at building speed; Part 3 academic conversation, tracking who says what by discourse markers.

S2
Writing

The Task 2 discussion essay (both views plus your position), joined by the 'outweighs' pivot sentence. Fence-sitting caps you at Band 5.5.

S3
Speaking

Parts 1 to 3 on fresh prompts, your first live speaking turns in the group.

Weekend mock Sunday: retake the Week 1 paper (unscored) to see what moved.

Before you enroll

Is this class for you?

Tier One is a live class. You take part in real time, and it asks for about two hours of focused study a day. That suits some people very well and others not at all.

This is you if

  • You are done with one-way lectures and want to study through live interaction. Join live or review the recording, both work.
  • You need a structured curriculum that tells you exactly what to do and when.
  • Your willpower slips and you need someone to hold you to it. We handle the close follow-up, burnout management included.
  • You want to raise your score fast and you are ready for the workload that takes.

This is not you if

  • You want to put a lecture on in the background and watch quietly.
  • You would rather study alone at your own pace than interact with a teacher.
  • You cannot carve out two hours of focused study time a day right now.

If even one of these sounds like you, the same course runs as recordings on your own schedule: see the VOD version of Tier One.
