Angelcrew's IELTS score report: Overall 7.0 (Listening 7.5, Reading 7.5, Writing 6.0, Speaking 6.5)

Everyone asked whether it was even possible while working three shifts. On days my body could take it I sat full practice tests, and on the days after a night shift I did vocabulary or listening only. Choosing not to break the streak beat trying to fill every hour perfectly.

  • A monthly nursing shift calendar marked with day, evening, night and off shifts
Her July roster: days, evenings, nights, offs. She set the study load per shift type instead of forcing the same hours every day.
  • Progress dashboard showing a 6.5 band, a 5.5 baseline, a 1.0 gain and a 27 day streak
27 days without a gap. Her mock band moved a full 1.0 from the 5.5 she started at, with the 7.0 target on the same screen.
  • A Task 2 essay marked up beside per-criterion band scores and written feedback in Korean
Every Task 2 essay came back scored per criterion, with the sentences she was still translating out of Korean marked line by line.

Common questions. Anything else? Ask us.

My basics are weak. Should I still start with IELTS?
If you need the basics first, start with English Fundamentals: grammar and 1,920 words over 8 weeks, with one recorded lesson a week, daily work and no band scores. The Band-Up Course is the IELTS course itself, with 3 classes a week, a mock every weekend and feedback in IELTS bands. Not sure which fits? The free level test recommends a course with your result.
Academic or General Training?
The Band-Up Course runs on IELTS Academic by default. Need General Training? Ask us before you enroll.
I live outside Korea. Which clock do you use?
Class times and deadlines are always shown in Korea time (KST). The next day's work opens at Seoul midnight or your local midnight, whichever comes first.
What is the refund policy?
Before the first class you get a full refund, no reason needed. After it, refunds follow Table 4 of the Enforcement Decree of the Private Teaching Institutes Act, by the time that has passed: two thirds back before a third of the course has passed, half back before half of it has, and nothing after that. The details are in our Refund Policy.
What device do I need?
Assignments and mocks run in the browser. A laptop or desktop with a microphone is best; reading and listening also work on a phone.
